We started with some indoor portraits...

And went outside for a (cold!) (brief!) walk around the fish hatchery.

Back at the hotel, Jess and Matt and the rest of the party hid away to wait for the start of the ceremony while Eric and I photographed the rings and flowers. Once again Eric rocked the macro lens -- I love this shot of Matt and Jess' unusual rings and the tree design featured on their program. Macro work is an art all its own, requiring a top-quality lens and the patience and skill to use it correctly -- I'm always amazed at what Eric comes up with.
And then Jess and her dad waited to walk down the aisle...

For a ceremony that ended with a perfect kiss :-)

We did some formal -- and not so formal -- family portraits...

And Eric was on a roll last night: this is one of my favorite candids we've gotten this year. Jess' mother is at right, and I love how her friends are reacting to her! When I complimented Eric on this shot, he said, "You've taught me how to wait." Hmmmm.... maybe I have taught The Professor a thing or two ;-)

Loved the cake!

There were lots of kids at the party...

And lots of kids at heart! Here are Jess' grandparents enjoying some party favors intended for the children.

Matt and Jess: Congratulations again and thanks for trusting us to document your day! Many more photos to come but we couldn't wait to post a few of our favorites :-)
