Han-Sam and Angel

Here are a few photos from this afternoon's *superfunamazing* senior session at the Arboretum!

Han_sam invited her friend Angel to come along, which was great!

I try not to go overboard on the too-trendy Photoshop effects, but I couldn't resist having a little fun with this shot...

And by the lake at sunset...

So many more pics to look through, but I have a family shoot tomorrow morning and a wedding tomorrow afternoon - night... must sleep :-)

Sarah and Marshall - engaged!

Oh the joy! Sarah and Marshall have been together since college and they're getting married next month! We had so much fun at their engagement session. Here are my faves of this cute couple...

Thanks, you two, for a great afternoon -- and see you next month!

Stay

Our daughter Anna has taught Sadie to sit and lie down. Now we're working on "stay."

And we've been test-driving a 135 lens for the past week, seeing if we like it well enough to shell out big bucks for one of our own. Eric snapped this pic with it. It's an absolutely fantastic lens -- great color and contrast and beautiful bokeh. I think I feel an investment coming on...

Guest books!

I will get these pics on the website asap, but for now I just can't wait to show off this book! Barb and Mike wanted a custom-designed guest book featuring their favorite photos from their engagement session. So here it is...

Cover embossing available in silver or gold

Book starts on the right page, with your names and wedding date if you want -- the design is completely up to you

The left side of the book has "full strength" images, while images on the right side are scaled back so your guests can write on them

Details: 10"x10"
16 pages
Spiral bound so pages lie flat
Presented in a protective box
Includes two archival-quality pens

Let me know if you're interested in one of these. They're a great way to show off your engagement pics!

Diane and Mark

Today Eric and I photographed Diane and Mark's wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church, which is only a few blocks from our house! It was *so* nice to not have that l-o-n-g drive to Madison and back! This was a beautiful wedding in a truly lovely church.

By the way, someone asked me the other day if I ever do posed formals, because I don't have any on the web. The answer is, yes, I can boss people around ;-)

but I'd much rather capture real emotions and intimate moments like these...

Best wishes to Diane and Mark as they begin their new life together! Thanks so much for letting me be part of your special day.
