I have a thing for old cruisers. They're fun and comfy and the craftsmanship is just incredible.
There are some drawbacks to keeping them around, though -- my white cruiser was stolen last week because I parked it by the curb and someone thought we were throwing it out! It was soon recovered -- an elderly gentleman had been walking by and, appreciating the old bike's inner beauty, decided to give it a good home. He was very apologetic when he found out I didn't want to part with it...
I got a great deal on this ruby-red gem at a garage sale yesterday, and Eric and the kids helped me shine it up to its former glory. Eric pumped up the tires and we spent the afternoon cruising around town.
There are few joys in the world greater than a new red bike. Isn't it pretty?
